and a wedding photographer excited to serve you.

On the softball field, I didn’t yet know the valuable memories I’d be making by simply catching and throwing a ball. But my dad did. Guided by that one statement: “You’ll never live this day again,” he bought a Canon Rebel T1i to capture all the dirt, scabs, and spills of 12U softball. While I was playing, he was busy capturing moments I’d treasure for years to come.

From the neighborhood softball field to the photography big leagues.

Inspired by my dad’s wisdom and skill at photographing me even while in motion, I started taking sports photos for fun. The family’s fancy camera hung around my neck everywhere we went. From my sisters’ softball tournaments and dance competitions to my college’s DIII sports teams, photography became more than a hobby: it became my passion.

While earning my doctorate in physical therapy, I continued to practice photography and even started my business while in school. Each day, I studied how to restore mobility to aching parts of the body, and then by the time I shut my textbooks on Friday, I’d be planning the next Minnesota love story I’d get to capture that weekend. (But let’s be real, I was dreaming about how to best capture your wedding day long before classes let out on Friday!)

Now, with photography as my creative outlet and physical therapy as my day job, I’ve struck a balance of work and play, caring professionalism and joyful creativity, healing the muscles for motion and capturing the motion of your wedding veil dancing in the chilly North Shore breeze. My mission is to serve you, guided by my love for telling beautiful stories through movement captured in still imagery.

Although Minnesota serves as my homebase, and I’m a proud Duluth wedding photographer, I’m also a traveling physical therapist! That means I might be coming soon to your hometown! I spend about three months in each location, and I love to book local portrait sessions while I’m there.
